Outdoor Quest TV Returns to Wild TV with a 3-year Partnership

Edmonton, Alberta- November 1st, 2023- Wild TV, which is Numeris-rated as the number one outdoor programming provider in Canada*, announces that they have reforged a content partnership with Outdoor Quest TV. In the first week of January 2024, Wild TV will deliver network fans, as well as their streaming service subscribers by way of Wild TV+, the 25th anniversary season of the independently-produced hunting reality TV series, hosted by T.J. Schwanky and Vanessa Harrop. Seasons 26 and 27 of Outdoor Quest TV, which is the longest running hunting TV series in Canada, will also be available to Wild TV’s subscribers in 2025 and 2026, respectively.

Outdoor Quest TV’s 25th anniversary season contains 13 original episodes and is sponsored by Sako / Tikka, Zeiss, Hornady, Lowa, Stoney Creek, Silver Willow Taxidermy, Select Worldwide Hunting Safaris, Safari Club International Canada, Defense Aerosols, Midland Radios, Ballistix Custom Turrets, and Kill’n Stix.

Outdoor Quest TV delivers both domestic and international adventure-filled hunts to audiences in a true-to-the-journey fashion, completely unscripted. The popular series also promotes strong hunting ethics and the joys of hunting together as a couple. Harrop and Schwanky promote the attitude that the hunt is about the journey, whether at home in Alberta or in an exotic location abroad.

Schwanky and Harrop comment on their return to Wild TV, Canada’s oldest outdoor network. “We are excited to be back on Wild TV in 2024. We were in the line-up the first day Wild TV aired in Canada, back in 2004, and can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 25th season. Wild TV is number one in outdoor programming for a reason.”

The Wild TV Group of Companies’ Vice President, Scott Stirling, says, “Like Wild TV, T.J. and Vanessa are passionate about serving hunting TV fans the best the genre has to offer. This industry can be really difficult to achieve longevity in, and the fact that Outdoor Quest TV is going into its 25th season speaks volumes about the execution of excellence by T.J. and Vanessa, not only as producers but also as hosts. Wild TV is the oldest outdoor network in Canada, so it’s fitting that the longest running hunting show is back on Canada’s #1 hunting channel. We’re overjoyed to offer a platform for Outdoor Quest TV because T.J. and Vanessa are extremely knowledgeable, well-travelled, big-hearted, down-to-earth, and exactly the kind of mentors that the hunting community can look up to. To say we’re proud to have them as part of the Wild TV family of content partners is an understatement. We look forward to celebrating their 25th season this January when we make Outdoor Quest TV accessible to fans through our broadcast channel and streaming service, Wild TV+!”

About Outdoor Quest TV

Hosts Vanessa Harrop and T.J. Schwanky live by their motto “the hunt is about the journey,” and the series is a mix of DIY hunts around Alberta and destination hunts around the world. They incorporate the local culture and food into their hunts when they travel and they try to share affordable and unique destinations with their viewers. Harrop is an 18-year veteran on the series. She has hunted on five continents and recently just completed her Super 10 on North American game animals. Harrop and Schwanky’s mission is to educate and entertain. They don’t want to show people their hunts, they want to take them along and make the viewer feel like they are right there with them. Schwanky, who has hosted the series since its inception 25 years ago, has hunted on six continents and recently completed his Grand Slam of North American wild sheep, but he is the first to point out that he is most at home hunting in his backyard in Alberta.
